In-demand Sharks halfback Brett Kimmorley could sign with the Bulldogs as soon as this week.
GRL is led to believe that despite having one more season remaining on his contract, the Sharks would not stand in the way of releasing Kimmorley early from his contract.
It is hard to believe he could be released after the former Test star put in a very good man of the match performance in his side’s 24-18 win over North Queensland in round 9.
Kimmorley secured two try-assists, made two line breaks, kicked 10 times for 464 metres and made 21 tackles (his third best tackle rate this season).
According to reports, the ex-Sharks captain met with incoming Dogs coach Kevin Moore last week for coffee. Media have yet to verify if Kimmorley had coffee, tea or something else to drink.
Kimmorley – who won a premiership with the Melbourne Storm in 1999 – can bring some experience to the number seven jersey, a crucial position the Bulldogs have been struggling to fill in recent times.
Canterbury are also seen as favourites to secure the services of Brisbane hooker Michael Ennis.
However they missed out securing the signature of Melbourne prop Jeff Lima who apparently took a massive pay cut (possibly up to $150,000) to remain in Victoria. - Read More, Here
