The Moss Vale Dragons could face an uphill battle in next week’s Group 6 sudden death semi-final after star forward Willie MacDonald was sent off last weekend.

Macdonald – who had already been sin-binned in the 60th minute for fighting, was sent off minutes later for the same offence.

He’ll now face the judiciary this week to determine if he takes the field to help his teammates make up for their 42-12 loss against the Camden Rams.

The Rams scored five tries on their way to victory while also ensuring that captain Kevin Thompson was able to celebrate his 200th first grade game in style.

Camden – unable to make the finals in first grade, did however book a spot in the semi-finals in reserve grade after thrashing the Dragons 40-18 at Kirkam Oval on Sunday.
In other Group 6 results, Thirlmere defeated Picton 44-4 while Goulburn easily accounted for Oakdale RLFC with a 48-4 win to finish the regular season as minor premiers on 26 competition points
