Manly are hoping to buck the trend of sequels going wrong after disposing of New Zealand 32-6 to set up a Grand Final clash with Melbourne for a second straight season.
The last time two sides met each other in consecutive Grand Finals was in 1992-93 with the Broncos defeating the Dragons on both occasions.
Before a strong crowd of 32,095 fans, the Sea Eagles held the Warriors scoreless for 75 minutes while scoring 7 unanswered tries to set up a revenge showdown with their arch rivals from Victoria.
Manly lead 12-nil at half-time though the score should have been worse for the Kiwis after Matt Orford missed his first three conversion attempts. The Dally M winner eventually handed over goal kicking duties to centre Steve Matai.
Orford suffered an ankle injury and completed the game on the sidelines using icepacks. He is expected to be fit enough to tackle his former teammates next weekend.
