Injured Wests Tigers star Benji Marshall yesterday unveiled his wish for the rest of the season. To remain at five-eighth when he returns to the field.

Marshall’s plea not to be shifted to fullback came after a meeting with club doctor Donald Kuah yesterday.

“The good news is that he has a fracture through the socket which fortunately is undisplaced,’’ Dr Kuah said.

“Both of the previous reconstructions of the shoulder are intact.

“He will have a clean up of the joint and probably be in a brace for four weeks to allow the bone to heal.”

The star of the team that took out the 2005 NRL Premiership was more then adamant he’s happy to return to his preferred role in 10 to 12 weeks.

“I’m happy at five-eighth,” Marshall said.

“I was fantastic up until that tackle. It was just bad luck.”

The real test for the Tigers will be for halfback John Morris who will now have to form a new combination with Liam Fulton against the Dragons this weekend.

Centre Dean Collis was viewed by some League experts as the number one replacement for Benji but he’ll be unavailable until round 11 due to a knee injury. - Read More, Here
