South Sydney looks set to win rugby league a few new American fans if the sale of tickets to their pre-season clash with Leeds in Florida is any indication.

With just over a month remaining before the 2007 Super League champions tackle the most improved squad in the NRL, over 2800 tickets have been sold for the clash at Hodges Stadium inside the University of North Florida.

General admission tickets remain the only options available for the 9,300 seat-stadium which is also used as the home ground for the local AMNRL rugby league team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tickets have been sold across six countries and 40 US states and territories in the lead-up to the game which will be played on Australia Day.

Earlier this year at a press-conference promoting the game, Russell Crowe (co-owner of the Rabbitohs) predicted a sell out crowd of 10,000.

Will you be forking out the bucks to attend this game live?

Are you a concerned football CEO who might think that too many re-runs of Flying High could make fans nervous about travelling long distances to watch a game of League?
