Former Manly Sea Eagles coach Peter Sharp has been released by Hull FC following their loss to Harlequins in round 14 of the English Super League.

Sharp – who took Hull FC to their first ever Grand Final appearance in his first season after taking the club to 14 wins from his first 17 in charge – will be replaced immediately by assistant Richard Agar.

This season Hull have won only 4 of their first 14 fixtures with injuries playing a large part in the team’s poor results.

Hull chief executive James Rule said: "On behalf of the board of directors, staff and players at Hull FC, I would like to thank Peter for his contribution to the club and wish him the best of luck in his future career."

Former FC player and current Bulldogs coach Steve Folkes has been named in the British media as a front-runner to replace Sharp. - Read More, Here
