Averaging 53.3 points per game after their first six wins of the new season, it’s going to take something special from the defense of the Northern Storm who currently in sixth spot on the competition ladder.
Meanwhile the Tamaki Titans appear to have recovered from their first loss of the year to Harbour League in Round 5 after thrashing Waicoa Bay 60-28 last weekend.
In some sad news from across the Tasman this week, the NZRL paid tribute to former Kiwi legend Brian Nordgren who died on Tuesday after a short illness.
Nordgren – while he never played for the Kiwis – represented the talent his country his could export, playing for the Wigan Warriors from 1945 to 1954.
