Bottom of the table cellar dwellers South Darwin scored their second win of the season on Saturday after dismantling University 36-4 at Richardson Park.

The win was a big turn-around in form for the wooden spoon favourites who were coming off the back of a 52-point thrashing at the hands of Litchfield in round 6.

Meanwhile competition leaders Nightcliff put together a third consecutive win after ousting second placed Litchfield 26-20 in the game of the round.

Palmerston also set a new record on the weekend, conceding 60 points in a loss for the first time this season after being pulverized at the hands of Brothers.
