Four teams will go hunting for a win on Friday night. Only two will walk away battered, bruised but still smiling, writes JOSH KING.

FRIDAY

MANLY SEA EAGLES v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Brookvale Oval, 7.30pm
Referee: Steve Clark
GRL Tip: Manly

HEAD TO HEAD: Played 116, Manly 63, Souths 53
AT BROOKVALE OVAL: Played 46, Manly 27, Souths 19

South Sydney seem to be the better of these two teams when it comes to playing in wet conditions. But Manly are fired up after losing to Penrith 22-16 before they had the bye last week.

Manly have won their last 9 games at home while the Bunnies fallen over in their last three away games. Against the fourth best defence in the competition at the moment, Manly will win but not comfortably.

SEA EAGLES: Brett Stewart, Michael Robertson, Steve Bell, Steve Matai, Chris Hicks, Jamie Lyon, Matt Orford (captain), Jason King, Michael Monaghan, Brent Kite, Anthony Watmough, Glenn Stewart, Luke Williamson.Interchange: Clint Halden, Glenn Hall, Mark Bryant, Steve Menzies, Shane Neumann, Shayne Dunley, Adam Cuthbertson (three to be omitted).

RABBITOHS: David Peachey, Nathan Merritt, Nigel Vagana, Feluti Talanoa, Paul Mellor, Ben Rogers, Jeremy Smith, Peter Cusack (captain), Stuart Webb, Roy Asotasi (captain), Luke Stuart, David Faalogo, Dean Widders. Interchange: Isaac Luke, Shane Rigon, Manase Manuokafoa, Scott Geddes, Shannan McPherson (one to be omitted).

BULLDOGS v Brisbane Broncos
Telstra Stadium, 7.30pm
Referee: Paul Simpkins
GRL Tip: Broncos

HEAD TO HEAD: Played 34, Bulldogs 13, Broncos 20, drawn 1
AT TELSTRA STADIUM: Played 6, Bulldogs 3, Broncos 3

The Bulldogs will be looking to add further wounds to the Broncos less then sensational start to the season. Had the Bulldogs defeated Brisbane in last year’s preliminary final, it could’ve been the boys from Belmore running into this game under the title of ‘defending premiers.’

History aside, this could be an error ridden game due to the wet conditions in Sydney and the post Origin physical exhaustion being carried on by key players from both teams.

Brisbane have 7 players backing up from Origin while Canterbury are aiming to put together consecutive wins for the first time in 2007. This is a difficult game for the punters. Brisbane should walk away with the two-points in a scrappy affair.

BULLDOGS: Luke Patten, Hazem El Masri, Daryl Millard, Tim Winitana, Cameron Phelps, Daniel Holdsworth, Brent Sherwin, Mark O'Meley, Corey Hughes, Willie Mason, Sonny Bill Williams, Andrew Ryan (captain), Reni Maitua. Interchange: Adam Perry, Nick Kouparitsas, Kane Cleal, Jarrad Hickey.
BRONCOS: Karmichael Hunt, Steve Michaels, Darius Boyd, Justin Hodges, Brent Tate, Darren Lockyer (captain), Michael Ennis, Ben Hannant, Shaun Berrigan, Petero Civoniceva, Corey Parker, Dane Carlaw, Tonie Carroll. Interchange: Joel Moon, Greg Eastwood, Brad Thorn, Dave Taylor, Nick Kenny, John Te Reo (two to be omitted). - Read More, Here
